Wisdom Teeth
My daughter had her wisdom teeth out last week, so I thought I would share all the soft foods we lined up for her (and us!). As it so happened, it was a HOT weather week, so smoothie bowls were welcomed by all of us.
My favorite cookbooks for smoothies are the original Oh She Glows cookbook and the follow up, Oh She Glows Every Day cookbook by Angela Liddon. Most of the pictures below are from Oh She Glows Every Day, but the original book is also fabulous.
Every Day cookbook, p. 25- Reset button green smoothie
Every Day cookbook, p. 67- coconut chia seed puddings (minus the toppings for my daughter)
Every Day cookbook, p. 207- Cauliflower mashed potatoes (what my daughter ate), with portobello mushrooms and broccoli added for us.
Original Oh She Glows cookbook, p. 47- oatmeal and lentil bowl (minus the tomatoes for our daughter)
Every Day cookbook, p. 243- mango-coconut-lime and raspberry-banana-sorbet (this is my bowl, so I snuck in a crushed ice cream cone) :)
Every Day cookbook, p. 21- pear vanilla mint green smoothie (my cup, with straw- my daughter had this in an open glass)
Every Day cookbook, p. 15- glowing rainbow smoothie (of course this is my bowl with all the toppings- my daughter just had hers plain!)
And finally, one naughty cat trying to get into a Victoria sponge cake that my husband made towards the end of the week.
Our daughter is doing so much better, now a week and a half out from her surgery. We’ve been using the Vegan Richa Instant Pot cookbook this week for many of our meals, and my daughter still can’t bite into crunchy or sharp foods, but is otherwise healing so nicely. It’s always a relief to get something like that over with!
Vegan Richa’s Instant Pot cookbook, p. 69-vegetable biryani, with leftover tofu thrown in :)
