This was our cookbook choice for meals this week-

We’ve had this book for a couple years now and it’s a good one. The recipes are all oil-free and the layout is beautiful- this would be a great option for anyone newer to cooking and wanting to try some successful oil-free recipes. And our kids do accept a fair number of the recipes in this book (not all, but enough!).

In addition to dinners this week I’ve made two of the breakfast cookie recipes which the kids have also actually gone for (well- maybe that’s too strong. One of them has zucchini in it and as soon as my daughter said, ‘wait is that zucchini?’ I knew that particular one would be a tough sell- though it tasted the best of the two, hands down).

I bought these brown mushrooms for one of the recipes and then spent like five minutes staring at them because they were so gorgeous. This is how you know you’re in your forties- unexpected mindful moments staring at produce in the kitchen.
