There were two adults, one carrying a large Amazon box, the other carrying work and diaper bags, a toddler who refused to be carried, and one cat who leapt into the hallway for some exercise.
That is how we started our evening- the entire family running up and down the hallway.
It has been quite enjoyable watching Major the Cat get to know Eleanor the Baby. They truly truly seem to appreciate the other's presence. I lay the baby on the floor and the cat plops down next to her. The baby gently strokes the cat's fur, sometimes even clenching it in her little fist, and the cat purrs and snuggles closer. It's pretty sweet.
While you view these photos, hum that classic song "Through The Years," but sing the word "Months" in place of "Years." It brings tears to my eyes.
And no worries, we stay right next to the baby every time the cat comes to hang out with her. They are two different species, after all.
